This User Agreement is a binding agreement between you and Bookd Technologies LLC ("Bookd," "we," "us," or "our"). By checking the acceptance box, creating an account, or using Bookd, you agree to it. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the platform.
When you accept electronically, you agree that the electronic acceptance is your signature and that Bookd may retain a record of the agreement version and the time of your acceptance.
Bookd provides a smart booking platform that connects clients with independent beauty professionals. You agree to use the platform only for its intended purpose (scheduling appointments) and not to misuse, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the platform in any way.
You must provide accurate information when booking, including your name and phone number. Providing false information may result in cancellation of your appointment.
If you use Bookd as a stylist or studio, you are responsible for your services, prices, policies, customer communications, licenses, tax obligations, and the content you provide. Bookd is a software platform and is not the provider of your beauty services.
Text messages are optional. When booking online, you may check an optional, unchecked-by-default box to receive SMS text messages related to your appointment. Booking is available whether or not you opt in. If you opt in, messages may include:
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on appointment activity. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at hello@bookdbeauty.com. Opting out will not cancel your appointment, only your SMS notifications.
We use Twilio to deliver SMS messages. Your phone number is shared with Twilio solely for this purpose and is never sold or used for marketing.
Bookd facilitates appointment requests between clients and stylists. All appointment decisions (including acceptance, rescheduling, and cancellation) are made by the stylist. Bookd does not guarantee appointment availability.
Cancellation policies are set by each individual stylist. Please contact your stylist directly if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
All content on the Bookd platform (including text, design, graphics, and code) is owned by Bookd Technologies LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without our written permission.
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any appointment request will be confirmed by a stylist.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookd Technologies LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including missed appointments or service dissatisfaction. Where liability cannot be excluded, Bookd's total liability for claims relating to the platform will not exceed the amounts you paid to Bookd for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
This Agreement and any dispute arising from it are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, you and Bookd consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Virginia.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
